It was a gorgeous spring day yesterday, sunny but windy. I took a friend for a walk around Kensal Green cemetery. It's one of the "magnificent seven" Victorian cemeteries in London and also one of the world first garden cemeteries with lots of lovely mature trees. There are so many amazing monuments and statues. I took loads of photos...

Haven't written anything in ages, since my pc was playing up. But now it's fixed (touch wood!) and there's no excuse... Yet I'm still procrastinating. Half-formed ideas swarm around in my mind, going off on tangents, but nothing meaningful comes out... According to one article I read the other day, this blocked state is still a helpful one as it allows ideas to germinate. Let's hope so!

Last week my pc was playing up. I rushed out and spent a fortune on pen drives, but the pc died before I could backup latest stuff! Not a nice feeling, that... It's fairly easy to reinstall stuff, but with valuable files at risk, frankly, the blue screen of death becomes truly terrifying... But, against the odds, like Phoenix rising out of the ashes, it resurrected. Hurrah! The cause was a faulty memory stick! I took it out with dell's phone supervision :), so now it's v. slow and I'll have to get a new memory stick... Still, not bad compared to the alternative. And it's regular back ups for me from now on!
